Marine Power Systems provide machinery surveys and inspections for pre-purchase or safety purposes. Surveys assess the current running condition of propulsion and auxiliary systems and can include borescopic inspections of engine cylinders and turbochargers. For a more comprehensive assessment, we can offer a partial strip and inspect service which includes borescopic inspection of power units, turbocharger measurements, compression/leakdown tests and lube oil sampling. This is particularly useful for commercial operators who accrue high running hours on their machinery.
For pleasure craft we can offer prospective buyers, pre-purchase inspections which include a basic assessment of main engine and propulsion system performance.
Surveys and inspections are accompanied with a written report which may include photos, measurements and list of recommendations.
