FATCAT 4500 REPOWER WITH SUZUKI DF60
More power, better economy and smarter tiller control with a new Suzuki DF60ATHL.

The owner of this Fatcat 4500 approached Marine Power Systems looking at options to replace its tired Mercury 50hp four-stroke outboard.
After discussing the boat, how it was being used and the available options, we recommended upgrading to a new Suzuki DF60ATHL. The DF60 offered a number of worthwhile improvements over the existing engine, including more power, improved fuel efficiency and noticeably lower noise levels.

Suzuki Multi-Function Tiller Handle
A major advantage for this tiller-steer application was Suzuki’s integrated tiller handle. The DF60ATHL places the key start, throttle lever, power trim and tilt controls, and troll mode controls directly on the tiller arm, making the engine exceptionally easy and convenient to operate from the helm position.
The increase from 50hp to 60hp also gave the Fatcat a useful lift in performance, while the modern Suzuki four-stroke package offered better economy and a quieter, more refined boating experience.

Affordable Financing
We were also able to structure the repower around a 0% interest finance package over 36 months, giving the owner a very manageable repayment schedule without any disadvantage for choosing finance.
As part of the deal, Marine Power Systems traded the existing Mercury 50hp four-stroke. The value of the trade-in more than covered the required 10% deposit, along with the engine removal and installation costs, meaning the customer was able to move into a brand-new Suzuki with very little additional upfront expense.
The old Mercury was removed and the new Suzuki DF60ATHL installed and rigged by our team, giving this Fatcat 4500 a fresh lease of life and a more powerful, economical and user-friendly outboard package.

The Right Repower
