MAN D2842 engine repairs

Marine Power Systems provided urgent repair assistance to a commercial aquaculture vessel recently. The MAN D2842 main engine required maintenance which necessitated the removal of the engine from the vessel. Once removed, the repairs were swiftly completed including replacement of the coolant pump, overhaul of one cylinder head, replacement of the sump gasket and several minor maintenance items.

The work was completed and engine re-installed and laser aligned within 3 days allowing the vessel to return to important duties on the mussel farms in the Firth of Thames.
